[Gameplay] typing bug- unable to type in game

Since I got back into League a week ago I have encountered a bug where when I type into the in game chat or into the item search bar I am randomly unable to type mid sentence. This occurs every game and prevents me from communicating effectively. There is no obvious trigger and the bug only occurs in-game and not in the menu chat or any other text box outside of the actual match. The only way to continue typing is to click inside of the text box every time it stops typing.
