Jinx Ult Hitbox Bug or Twitch bug?

I was supporting a Jinx in a game earlier and she fired her ult off at a Twitch at faiiirly close range, and she died right as it would have hit him and it just passed through him and did no damage as if it didn't collide at all. I don't know if its a hit-box issue or and issue with her dying at that second, but on both of our screens it would have definitely would have hit as it went right through the lower half of Twitch's model and there wasn't lag. There were so many variables, it could have even been that the other team surrendered like 20 seconds after it happened. So I'm not sure what caused it, but it definitely struck us as out of the ordinary.
