Disappearing hextech chest and key

Good evening.

I just crafted a key, selected the chest and clicked OPEN, but nothing happened on the area where the chest is supposed to show the rewards. I returned to home and then to loot again to check if I got something or at least if the key and chest were unused, but I didn't have anything new and the key and chest were both gone.
