Pretty sure it's by design, just like Yi hitting his Q, if they got untargettable at the same time she hits the ult, it wiffs... would like confirmation though.
its specifically an outplay. the same is true of a fizz, or a vlad, or a zhonya's. The only thing I would like to see is for her cd to be halved instead of a full cd.
