Thresh Q Bug

This happened twice to my cousin in a ranked game when we were duoing. The first time he threw his q out to stop super minions from attacking turret and instead of the chain going out he was stuck in the animation for several seconds and unable to do anything else while minions attacked him. The second time was in a team fight and his q disappeared when fired at vayne (fight was in river near baron) and he was again stuck in the animation for a few seconds unable to do anything.
