LeaverBuster warning after returning to game post-crash?

I am unsure if this is a bug, or if this is how LeaverBuster is supposed to work ... but after my computer crashed I rebooted and rejoined my game to finish out the match. However, despite being gone for maybe 3-5 minutes (BSOD crash reporting + reboot), and being IN the game longer than being OUT of the game, I still got a LeaverBuster message.

This is my first time ever getting a LeaverBuster message or really anything associated with it. I hope this is a glitch, because it seems like a very poorly designed way of seeing if someone "AFKed" if you can come back after a client or computer crash to a match and it still has decided that yes, you were totally AFK and no, you don't deserve to play anymore.

It's just a notification. It's not flagging you as a leaver. The new system is giving everybody a message for the first time no matter what, so don't worry about it.

Hi mideae,

LeaverBuster cannot distinguish between you intentionally leaving a game and you pulling your internet cable, or turning off your computer, or throwing your computer out a window in a rage. Due to this, it treats all periods of AFK/Disconnect equally.

If you have received the first warning and had to type "I Agree" - don't worry. This is nothing more than a formality, and it doesn't mean you're being punished at this time. Riot have stated that this is more a warning/informational pop up for new players, but due to the fact it's a new system rolled out to everyone, everyone is seeing it at this time.

LeaverBuster will not punish you unless you continue to Leave/AFK (Again, whether due to your ISP, your electric going out, or you simply choosing to do so).

As Valkyrie says you are not being punished at this time, however to reiterate - your computer crashing will get you a leave if you're disconnected for too long.

I had the same thing happen to me. It happens frequently and it's not my computer because everything works fine and when league doesn't crash it runs fine, and it's not my internet because everything else is still connected. I know this is just a warning, but I'll be real upset if I get banned because my computer and LoL aren't friendly to each other. My input on it : Leaverbuster warnings are okay; auto leaverbuster bans, not okay. It would function much better if only reports got you banned or at least it only counts if the game finishes while you're out cause the only around it is if you had a friend in the game to tell you when it's almost over, but not only is that allot to go through just to escape a ban for whatever reason to leave, others can still report the leaving person. I would probably quit league if I got banned for league crashing. Maybe as well use a reliability score? Such as instead of being banned, leaving or AFKing would lower your score drastically, while staying in game would increase it a bit. That way, people who aren't serious on supporting their team get matched with others who don't care, it would be like the ghetto of league, where people can still enjoy the game (and spend money) without disrupting the enjoyment of others. Thanks for reading!
