Missing skins?

So I just logged into my account only to find that I am missing skins on a couple of champions? I looked up the problem and found a few results saying to log out and log back in to the client, if that didn't work to try and repair the launch client. Well I am now in the process of repairing the client and I also sent in a support ticket in advance, in case this also failed. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem lately and if you have any suggestions to fix it? I hope Riot keeps some form of records on what skins you should have, as I have a lot and quite a few were legacy that I have gotten either from gifts or the large sale they had this summer. So even if they are missing I might not recognize it right away :(

Any tips on a fix? I did notice that the client patcher took up an unreal amount of memory and CPU power. It had some times where it glitched and I had to restart it. Normally I have no issues whatsoever. What is odd about that though is I have played multiple times since then and the skins were unaffected to my knowledge.

Sorry to comment on my own post, but as I read more about recent posts some people are claiming that the skins are being taken from people due to illegitimate refer a friend RP? I have purchased all of my RP and to my recollection have not even referred a single person to the game. I am not sure if that is the case with skins that were gifted to me, I don't really ask as that is kind of rude. Has anyone experienced this issue that has never referred anyone falsely or done anything else that might be seen as illegitimate? I am sure Riot can check my records, I have far too much money invested in this game to do anything stupid like that.

Hi Kramerican,

Basically people found wracking up illegitimate referrals in the Refer-A-Friend program have had the amount equivalent to the fraud points removed from their accounts. This includes RP, IP, and some extra IP that was earned with any boosts given. If the stuff you are missing was gifted, the friend would have been the one hit by this system.

Truthfully I don't know, this is the first time I've ever seen a sweep like this happen. Try submitting a ticket to http://support.leagueoflegends.com - those guys are the only ones who can help you out with this I'm afraid!
