[Client] - <Shift> + <Enter> - while typing to friends directly in the chat window

Something that's pretty annoying in the League chat is the key combination that prevents the <ENTER> key stroke from being acknowledged if either <SHIFT> key is depressed. I know it sounds like a small thing but it actually happens fairly often, you know, when I'm yelling at my friends in all caps... I have only tested this in the chat, outside games, directly communicating with people on my friends list.

Is this a purposeful exclusion from some acceptable set of key combinations within chat or something?
