New riot client updating forever

I'm not sure if I'm just impatient or if there really is a problem but I think the client is not really updating. I wouldn't know if it really was just really slow anyways because there is no progress bar. I've reinstalled the entire game but every time that image pops up. I've checked task manager and there is no riot games launcher running in the background a s a duplicate (if that's even something I should look for).
