Yasuo Q Knockup Visibility
Most of us have had the opportunity to play as champions with knockup abilities. You've probably noticed most of them let you know WHO you landed them on by giving you VISION of them. Well, not for The Unforgiven
...
Yesterday I was playing against some Riven
on top lane as Yasuo
. After reaching level 6 we passed to extended trades. So I engage Riven next to the bush junglers usually come from, stacked my Q on her and got a whirlwind after evading her Q and making her use her E. She had like 450hp and I was close to 750hp. We both walked in and out of the bush while fighting. When I cast my Q I hit her but she happened to be in the bush while I was out so I COULD NOT R. I didn't know it needed a ward to see someone KNOCKED UP. The height in which knockups send the champion is well beyond the height of the damn bushes! I think Yasuo's Q should also give you visibility of the target so you can trigger your ultimate. After all, the hard part is landing it and once you're done with that you should be able to receive your reward for casting it where you should. (400g FIRST BLOOD!) The ability can be hard to land, especially on champions like Vayne or Riven who have reposition abilities. Vayne has Tumble (Q), Riven has Q and E which can both be used to evade skillshots. As a Yasuo, missing your Q is probably always your fault but for me that was a sure kill. Aaaaand this 1000+ win Riven took advantage of a game bug. So knocking someone up, regardless of where they are should give you visibility of them so you can R as Yasuo. There are tons of abilities which give you vision of the enemy like Cho'Gath's
Q, or Nidalee's
spear (which is illogical, I mean, it's a spear not a tracker round). I get it with Cho'Gath, the enemies are knocked up and you can obviously see them even behind the short walls of Summoner's Rift.
So why doesn't Yasuo's knockup give you visibility of the knocked up targets? You think that'd be too overpowered? That's common sense, knock someone UP, make them visible. It should apply to all knockup abilities on League of Legends.
I don't need a ward
to show me where my enemy is. Anyone with some experience can do that. I could tell I landed the Q by the sound and impact effect. This is part of the game, anticipating your enemy's movement. Like Leblanc
, or Zed
... You need to predict if the enemy Zed or LB decide to recast their abilities and change position right before casting. As Yasuo you can do pretty sick plays by aiming your Q on Zeds' shadows to which he usually teleports to evade.
I don't want a simple bunch of leaves stop me from ripping my enemies apart with that awesomely animated ultimate ability. I find it unrealistic and irritating.
I hope you take this logical request into consideration for one of the next patches.
