Anivia Visual Q Glitch

I was recently playing a ranked game vs a vlad when i noticed that about 20% of the time after casting Q it would turn invisible after hitting the first minion. I could tell that the q was still going because the slow and damage would be applied to what ever had been hit. I do not know if the other team saw it but I did.
