Client Crash followed by login error

Starting a ranked match, got through character selection, went to select runes and Masteries. Game client crashed on me, completely closing the client. After restarting the client it would not get past the file check, freezing on the first file, and then giving an error asking me to retry. It wouldn't open the client, even after restarting the machine, until about 15min later. Of course, by this time, my team had already done a remake, thus giving me a loss and a leave on record (frustrating).
