Can't Get to LOL login Screen After Pressing Launch

Recently I have Been Having Trouble with playing LOL because the login screen won't appear when i press launch. I tired re-downloading but I still have the same problem. Sometimes the launcher won't even appear. Someone please help me. BTW i play on a mac.
