Today I woke up very motivated to carry my ass to gold, only to find out the update doesn't work. Whenever I get to 30% it says this; "UPDATE FAILED Unspecified error occured, please check the logs for more information".
Rito? Anyone?

LBB4122 votesWhen something like that happens, i normally have to reinstall the game (you can do it from the launcher). It may or may not be the case for you, but that's normally what fixes it for me
Deep Terror Nami1 votesYou can try a client repair by clicking the question mark on the top right of your launcher, and if that doesn't work I'd suggest forcing a repatch through these steps before reinstalling.

Deep Terror Nami1 votesThe launcher doesn't have its own fresh reinstall option, but you can use Riot's Hextech Repair Tool and select the Uninstall and Clean Reinstall options. Make sure your permissions are set up by following this guide afterwards.

Alright, I've issued a clean Reinstall. After updating for 1.5 hours, and being at 99% it gave me the same error :( so sad now.
I got the same problem it got to 99% and then gave me error i waited so long :(

and I hate League of Legends to did this update to us ... I hope they solve the problem without the use of VPN
