Today I woke up very motivated to carry my ass to gold, only to find out the update doesn't work. Whenever I get to 30% it says this; "UPDATE FAILED Unspecified error occured, please check the logs for more information".
Rito? Anyone?

When something like that happens, i normally have to reinstall the game (you can do it from the launcher). It may or may not be the case for you, but that's normally what fixes it for me
You can try a client repair by clicking the question mark on the top right of your launcher, and if that doesn't work I'd suggest forcing a repatch through these steps before reinstalling.
I´m having the same issue on this patch. will tell if I find a fix.
I tried every single thing that was mentioned i even deleted and downloaded the game again nothing is working!!!!!!!!!!

It's work 100% 
and I hate League of Legends to did this update to us ... I hope they solve the problem without the use of VPN
