Patcher Random SFX
So when I opened the patcher to get the OFA patch installed, the patcher started playing random sound effects quite loudly, even with the volume slider at zero. It really sounded like they're from the Cosmic Reaver Kassadin skin.

I'm having the same problem. Apparently alot of us do. Has anybody found a fix yet? Been looking forward to one for all and I don't wanna miss it. Heck, the patch was yesterday. But I opened up LoL to play again today and now it's having me patch again, only now with annoying sound effects and bugs. If I could find a way to fix this I'd be super happy. ^.^ I legit just muted my computer to get rid of the sound. 
Happening to me too, and ive been stuck at 33% for over 30 mins now. its still scanning files

I tried doing the normal fix by removing the files from RADs folder, but it's still continuing to make the noise and scan files at 33%..
Yeah it sounds like it's playing the autoplay video from the Cosmic Reaver Kassadin announcement page. Might have to do with it being linked on the patcher?
Same here, the patch also stopped at 32% and said unspecific error occurred. :/
I'm having the same problem, but I found a simple yet temporary fix, to at least make it shut up while it patches in the background. Just open up the sound mixer for your audio device and mute the patcher from there.

UPDATE: I finished installing the patch and restarted the launcher and it still makes ungodly amounts of noise >_>
Same ^^ Everyone that is having this problem bump the thread. It could just be a trivial overlay problem, it could be something more. Obviously it's somewhat of a new problem, and can actually be hot-fixed fairly easy. So anyone stopping by this thread please comment and bump so the gods that hold our fate understand our plight and send a miracle for those stuck in the Void.
EDIT: For those of you with patience(yeah....right...): There is nothing wrong with the updater itself, the sfx that can be heard from the updater is nothing more than the new sfx update for Kassadin. If you are having this issue then yes the best way to alleviate the problem is to mute your league form your volume options task bar. For all of those still with me, yes. The updater WILL continue to update after all of the files are scanned, we all know how many issues we have had with updating games, and with a little patience this one should finish with no problems. The issue at hand should have no effect over your ability to download the files. (So anyone thinking about trying old "hot-fix's" or trying to un-patch just save yourself the grief and time going through the rads folder . Not worth it for this.) Quazzy out.

Update: it just finished patching. I could care less about restarting the patcher, now that I can play anyway. LoL works, I'm in the client. However when it finished patching those annoying sounds never stopped, until I went straight to the login screen anyway. If the noises come back next time open the patcher I'll let ya'll know. Er...How do I come back to this post without just bookmarking the page exactly? Will I get an email or something when new stuff happens on here, or do I just have to manually check back every time? Or something else? New to boards, sorry. I'm still gonna bump this thread if I need to though, I wanna help out. ^.^
Happened to me too. I liked that every now and then I heard the standard recall sound effect. :D
Up to over 8,400 files scanned.. Can Riot please fix this?

I got it aswell, definitely something like new effects and does sound quite a lot like kassadin, maybe it's kassadins sound effects for his animations somehow also being added to the client?
Random backing animation sound intensifies.
I didn't experience this on a Mac, in case that helps. Then again, I don't own the Cosmic Reaver Kass skin.. I wonder if all these people do!
