Hey everyone.

So as the title says we're there to discuss the FPS issue some ( me including ) experienced since the last 3 patch. I'd like you to post there 3 things. You're Issue with the configuration of your computer, how you tried to fix it, and your CPU usage of the game.

We'll do it like this.

  1. My FPS went down from 220 fps with Max Settings ( shadows included ) to 60 fps with middle settings ( shadows not included ) My configuration is this one 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 Go 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 Mo - Driver up to date.

  2. To try a fix I used all recommended fix riot provided me there : https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752684-Low-Frame-Rate-FPS-troubleshooting and It does change nothing. ( including repair client )

  3. Since the patch 5.4 my CPU usage from the league went up from 20% to 120% in the game.

So In my personal case it seems my FPS Issue are coming from the fact the game suddenly took a lot of ressources which are allowed to run the game first and then focus on my FPS.

Are you guys experiencing the same ? I also made a support ticket to report this problem, so I'll keep you updated.

Ye but it's not a secret what causes it : the retextured skins. If you notice new champs and their skins cause the same FPS while if you get 2-3 from the new re-textured champs teh fps suddenly drops like a pebble.

Make sure v-sync is turned off in LoL settings. If it is then go into your GPU's settings and make sure it is turned off there as well. V-sync is a setting that caps out your frame rate at the maximum frame rate of your monitor. Most monitors can only display 60 images every second, so that would cause your frame rate to max out at 60.
