Client update is not working? Patch issue?

Client at start-up says "we have restored this installation to an older version of League of Legends. Now we'll try to patch it up to the latest version", Then I press ok, it says "there was a problem patching League of legends. We'll restore a backup version and try updating again after you restart the patcher", and it keeps looping between this two pop-ups, can't click on anything else. Is there a patch I'm missing? I dont get it.... [slayer-pantheon-rainbows]

I'm having the exact same issue - it started for me about 20 minutes before this post. I'm on a MAC. i downloaded the hextech repair tool kit and used it without success. Hopefully RIOT will fix this issue quickly.

Hey guys try this! Turn back time 1 hour, it will work! If you must, do it manually, take it off automatic time! Thank me later peeps Ahri
