Client Lagging Like Mad

Hey any Rioter that see's this, as you know the game patched today. I had no issues playing or launching or any client issues up until this morning when i patched. The client became super duper laggy. I had to dodge a que because i was worried it would carry over to the game thank god it was my warm-up normal game. Can I get some direction on what could be causing this, or if this is a known issue with many people?
