In-game freezing for 5-6 seconds frequently.

Experienced this over the past 2 nights, not sure when it first started as I hadn't played regularly until then. The whole game locks up for a few seconds and then comes back fine.

This doesn't have at all at the beginning of the game, it seem to start happening around the 12+ minute mark and progressively gets worse to the point where sometimes I get an "attempting to reconnect" message and even the "League of legends has stopped responding" windows error.

I have updated my graphics driving and performed a full repair of the game, anyone else experienced this or know what to do? Right now I can't play.

Try doing a clean boot of your computer, fixed it for me.

Happens to me too. It happens after 6-10 mins then it just doesn't stop unless I restart the game. I've even reinstalled the whole game cause It was making other ranked users angry.

Do riot not reply here anymore? Seems to be a problem lots are facing. Guess we need a reddit thread to get noticed.

Specs: Intel core i7-8750 HD (12 CPUS) Laptop: MSI GS63 Stealth Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12, all drivers fully updated.

I have a full video of this happening which I can email. I noticed at around 10 minutes it starts out with small freezes and then progresses until 15 minutes, where the game is completely unplayable. I run 140 fps on average, throughout the whole game. This level of deterioration only happens with league, and games like fortnite play at epic settings with no problems. This definitely needs to be patched. Its not our error.

I also reinstalled league and checked for updates on all my drivers.

I am getting the same thing, It's not internet or my computer. It's the patch and league client 100%. I can still watch youtube and play other games on my second screen; no fps drop mid game even when I freeze for 10 seconds on league. So glad it's not just me. If you post a reddit thread please link it to me.

Exact same thing happens to me around 9~11 minutes. I completely crash but once i reload im free to play without fear of crashing again.

This is what my task manager looks like when it happens^^

I literally cant play; disconnecting for even a minute can be game-changing

I have exactly the same problem with my new MSI GS65:

*GeForce 1060

*i7-8750H

*16GB RAM

*LoL installed on SSD

Temperature of CPU is max 76°C and GPU 60°C. Installed the newest nVidia drivers 398.82 WHQL

Game runs OK for the first few minutes of the game, then starts to freeze - first freeze is 1 second long, the next ones longer and longer. Restarting the game resets the problem. Running in borderless / windowed mode seems to make the freezes shorter.
