Janna's shield(eye of the storm) was activated on a kled that was at 0 life and brought him back to life. This happened soon after kled lost skarl.
Have been unable to recreate situation.
But it makes support more fun, so let's keep it like redemption, right?
I wonder if this is just a problem with how kills are "counted" and how they are "registered". HP is likely a floating point number, meaning he could have a fractional amount (e.g. 0.25 hp), meaning he is not registered as dead. At the same time, the way the kill is counted, may treat HP as an integral number, by rounding. If that same amount of HP (0.25) is rounded to the nearest whole number, it would say he has 0 HP.
Software professional's best guess, anyway.
Edit: the shield would be giving him HP from blood charges on
