[GAMEPLAY] Zilean W early trigger

It's more so of a small annoyance more than anything, but i notice that if I use Q out of range, Zil starts walking to the location so he can get in range to chunk a bomb. However, while he is walking to that location (and before a bomb is thrown), then i accidentally press W right after, it wastes my w without a bomb being able to be thrown.

  1. press Q on a far out-of-range location
  2. press W while ZIl is walking to throw a bomb at that far location
  3. W is used, no bomb is thrown

The longer I play Zil the more it annoys me because it throws off my double-bomb combo and I have to be passive until the cooldown is back up, delaying a well-timed teamfight or potentially losing one. Has anyone else noticed this issue? I'm not sure if this is worth looking into or not, but mainly I wanted to mention it just in case.

Thanks for your time!

I do this quite often but I'm pretty sure it's just user error on our part and not a glitch. Your W cannot be used unless another ability of yours is down.

I don't know how it is for you, but for me, usually I'll have my E down when this happens; meaning my W can be used, thus creating the problem. You Q in but it's just out of range (unknown to you), so Zil walks up a tiny bit like a dumbass, but you've already hit W now because you thought your Q was in cast range. So now you're sitting there with W down, Q is still up, and everything is screwed then.

I know it's not the easiest being patient on Zil at times lol, but keeping an eye on your abilities and making darn sure your bomb is down before casting W is best we can work at. Remember though that your Q can still freeze time if it hits your other Q before it explodes. Even if your first Q has literally a millisecond left, if you get your second Q off in time still, it still does the goods. (Point here, I've been trying to line up the bombs after I've already landed it on a target. You don't get the quick surprise of, "Oh shit, Zil just got us! :O", but timed right, it's just as effective. :33)
