....does it actually say anywhere that Master Yi becomes immune to all damage/death while alpha striking?

oh would you look at that, it doesn't.
he becomes "untargetable by enemy's and allies" which basically means you cant click on him and slap him with a targetted ability (ie teemo blind) however he does not become immune to aoe effects, except targetted aoe effects such as Karthus Requiem. (which is horse shit considering master yi can basically tank it with his W)
sorry looks like the OP Fuck's OP ability is working as intended. It should NOT work like Fizz' E.
the "balance team" aka steve from project management (looking you steve) needs to make alpha strike 100% interruptable. A well timed Malph ult should slap that skinny bitch right out of his stupid alpha strike.
EDIT:
in Half of this rage-nerds "i wuz in alfu!!!!" fits he wasn't even 'in alpha' in fact some of his foot stomps moments show his Q is not on cooldown meaning he never got it off before he died. He is acting like Master Yi's Q should make him completely immune from dying. Shows a lack of attention to detail.
