Black screen when on non-windowed mode

I upgraded to windows 10 and was just going to play some league, I got past champion select fine but when the loading screen appeared it showed it for less then a second and then went black. The wierd part was the game was still playable, after the loading screen I got the music and the sounds and I could control my character and send messages. The problem was that I couldn't see anything.

I had previously edited the game.cfg files but had kept a backup so I put them back to normal no luck, then I reinstalled the game and no luck again. In the files windowed mode was set to DEPRICATED and when I tried to set it to 0 it went black and went back to DEPRICATED. I can play the game in windowed and if I was on my desktop it would be fine but on my laptop with a 15.6 inch display it's annoyingly small.
