In the third game and the last one between Cloud9 vs FlyQuest that was 2 days ago, an unfair bug was happened in favor of Cloud9. Images are in chronological order. As you can see from those images, Nautilus (Impact) launches a hook to Miss Fortune (Altec) at 38:41 (game time) that shouldn't reach him because it passed besides him, but somehow it reached him and because of that, chaos was unleashed and FlyQuest has lost the fight. Probably landed with the very edge of the hitbox. His hook is huge, and it appears that MF is right at the edge of it. The animation also tends to work as you show, where the anchor goes a bit beyond the target to make it look like it's really hooking you and pulling you in. Same thing happens with Thresh hooks sometimes, where just the edge of the hitbox is landing, and it seems to snap to the target after.

I don't think this is a bug. If you were to have that MF and Nautilus stand in exactly those same positions and have Naut throw the hook to the exact same location, it'll hit every time.
