blitzcrank's grab

i played a bot game(5v5 intermediate) in a bot lane vs zyra and nidalee whit blitz. has happened twice that when i try to grab zyra it doesen't work (first time hasn't attracted zyra to blitz and the second it lured her to mid distance). i don't know if that was a bug or some kind of shield, but i felt it odd.
