gifting problems :( question please help

I want to gift icons to two friends of mine, but I already bought the icons. I know how the gifting works, because I've gifted before, but I think it should be possible to gift something that you already have! Now I have icons I dont really want, but I want to give it to my friend. Is there anyway to fix it? I dont have enough riot points to buy them again, not even enough to buy one of them! Now I dont know what to do! Or at least I can get my riot points back to buy them from the gifting menu? I have 2 friends I want to gift icons to, and I have BOTH icons I want to gift, K/DA Akali and K/DA Ahri. I dont know what to do now!

Unfortunately, you will be unable to gift items that you own. I doubt Riot would ever change this rule.

If you recently bought the icons and you have refund credits remaining, you can refund the icons you bought and then gift the icon to your friend. Otherwise, there is nothing else you can do unless you want to buy more RP.
