Azir vs Rift Herald

Hi, I'm a sad main azir over here, i want to report the fact that azir can't proc the eye attack on the back of rift herald with his sodiers, i've been on a support chat and the fella said that like heimer towers and yorick minions it shouldn't proc as well, but doesn't make sense since the soldiers of azir take place over his basic attack, and heimer towers and yorick minions does not.

probably the harder champ to kill rift is azir, since you need to either kill him without attacking his eye or abbandon your soldiers that are all your damage to attack the eye, since you can't have any soldier in range of herald you would probably need to use a Q to put your soldiers away and spend your mana, or don't summon them, making herald Azir's worst enemy.
