Can't make a game

Ok so it seems like a number of other people are currently experiencing this. Basically I was attempting to try out some of the new changes from the patch in a custom lobby vs an intermed AI, and upon locking in my champion in champ select, the entire thing froze at countdown = 0 and the game never booted into load screen. I proceed to close out every League application running via task manager, and have rebooted only to find my play button grayed out. I proceed to restart the client several times and i can finally hit on the play button but whenever I try to make a lobby of any sort, I get the error telling me I can't make a game because I'm already in one. I've tried several restarts of the client, deleting some of the release folders and letting the repair tool run, and nothing has worked so far and the same issue persists.
