Pantheon (Aegis Protection) VS Renekton (W: Ruthless Predator)

Hi All,

yesterday 19/03/2016 was playing with Renekton and I got Pantheon as enemy in top lane. And I found something that seems to be a bug.

When Pantheon Pantheon has his Aegis Protection active happens that the Renekton Renekton W: Ruthless Predator spell has no effect, no damage AND no stun.

This is the Aegis Protection description: "After attacking or casting spells 4 times, Pantheon will block the next normal attack that deals more than 40 damage to him. "

This is the description of Ruthless Predator: "Cooldown: 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 Renekton's next attack gains 50 bonus range and swings twice, dealing 5 / 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 (+0.75 per attack damage) damage per hit (applies on hit effects) and stunning his target for 0.75 seconds. If Renekton attacks an enemy champion, he gains 10 Fury.

When Renekton has more than 50 Fury, his next attack will swing three times dealing 5 / 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 (+0.75 per attack damage) damage per hit (applies on hit effects) and stunning his target for 1.5 seconds. Consumes 50 Fury."

Ruthless Predator hit two or three times (depending on rage accumulated), so in my opinion Aegis Protection should not block the entire spell, means Damage + Stun effect, but only one of the hits. Or maybe Aegis Protection can block the entire Damage but for sure NOT the Stun effect, because I think it is really too much advantage.

Le me know your opinion.

Blocking all of the damage and the stun is intended. Riot made a change to empowered auto attacks back in patch 5.22 so that any empowered auto attacks that "miss" (either due to Teemo's blind, Jax's dodge, or Pantheon's passive) will not do any damage or apply any other effects that are tied to the attack, like crowd control. In the link, there's a list of empowered auto attacks that were affected by this change, and Renekton's W is on that list.

Thank you for your answer.

Well seems I miss/forgot this.

I think this can be closed so.
