Can't Finish the Update

So, for about 2 months now, I have been trying to "Update" LoL. It scans through about 2k-3k files for differences then tries to update. (Note: It only recently stopped scanning for infinity and beyond 20k files. Yes, it said 20k.) I got almost 90% updated after an arduous few hours of trying to coax it above 50 kbps. Then it crashed. I tried again in a different place and it finally started cranking at about 500 kbps - 1000 kbps. My internet is faster than that but whatever. I got to 43% before crashing again. Any thoughts (solutions not sympathy please) let me know. Thanks!

~My desktop PC can play this just fine, it's my mac that doesn't work. (Please don't comment about just use your desktop because I don't always have access to it.)
