Game play issue [Gameplay][Client]

Today is 4/7/16 and riot released a new patch for league of legends and my first game I went in was a ranked game. It started in the loading screen where my client froze and told me that I disconnected about 3 minutes after the actual game started. But after I reopened league and "connected" to the game it wouldn't let do anything but move my champ which was ekko. It would not allow me to get any skill. It wouldn't let me access the menu button. It wouldn't let me into the settings menu or change my camera settings. And on top of that I needed to restart my pc again and it finally fixed itself, kind of, it was still a little bit wired but at least I could play my game. Then on top of all that I now have a 5 game 20 minute "low priority que" for an in game issue I was trying to fix. What should I do to make sure it doesn't happen again?
