Client "Freezing" in champ select?

Everything was going according to plan (ban/pick phase and whatnot) and the person that was above me's queue dodge timer had ran out, but wasn't putting me back into queue. I was still in able to type in that chat and i had asked if everyone had the same problem. Nobody else in the lobby had the problem that i had. The option to select my champion had never appeared and i was forced to dodge the queue. I had never received a popup from pvp.net saying that it was unable to connect. (This is not a troll post (you may be questioning the picture) but this seriously happened to me but i had no visual proof i made a concept sketch.)
