Anyone else keep getting frozen right as the Nexus blows up?

I keep getting frozen on the screen where the Nexus blows up and I can't do anything. I'm literally held prisoner on the screen-- can't tab out, can't open control panel, can't force close all open apps... the only way to break free is to press the power button and literally shut down my entire PC. This hasn't happened to me before, it only started recently.

Anyone else have this problem? How do you get out of it?
