[Gameplay] Mord and nid bug

I ran into this in one of my games and not sure if it is a bug or not. I was paying Nid and was in the jungle. There was a mid yas on my team and a mord on the other. Long story short the mord got super fed by the yas . Later into the game I had a chance to kill the mord for shut down gold and I took it, but it didn't go that way. I hit mord with a spear to trigger on the hunt and went in. Used pounce to close the gap then used swipe to hit him. I went to finish him off with the q (standard nid combo). This left him with 20 hp at the end. I figured I would just auto him once and kill him. 6 autos later another spear and full nid combo and he was at 22 hp now. I couldn't kill the mord and he ended up killing me. Don't know if anyone else has had this issue yet with mord and nid but I think it needs to be looked into.
