new client always freezes when i am in champ select

i am in my promos and champ select froze on me no i cant do anything and i keep on getting that "there is a problem selecting your champion please try again". if i close the client i will me place in leaver buster and be taken out my promos for something beyond my control, please fix this bug its really frustrating.
