New SR - Giant summoner icons periodically replacing particle effects

On the new Summoner's Rift, I am periodically getting giant Ghost or Flash icons that replace certain particle effects (usually minion deaths or minion attacks). A player on the other team reported seeing similar things, so I don't think I'm alone.
