Third party software causing game to crash?

Since the 9.2 patch I have been experiencing an issue where my game would crash during game.

The error message that appears states that a third party software may be causing this. I do not play with any other app or software open while playing League, not even the League client. I have never seen this message nor has my game ever crashed before the 9.2 patch so maybe something is related? I have tried using the Hextech Repair Tool to do a clean uninstall and reinstall however it was no use.

Error message that appears

In detail this is the order of events of what happens:

  1. Game runs normally to the 30 minute mark
  2. Soon after 30 minutes it will crash, appearing with the error message and windows error sound, forcing me to ALT + F4
  3. Game closes and I am given the choice to reconnect via the client that open by itself
  4. Soon after reconnecting I get the error but I can't ALT + F4 or close the game in any way

This results in me having to restart my PC completely, which usually by the time I do so, the game has ended with a loss and sometimes a penalty.

Some help would be appreciated otherwise for the time being I will have to quit playing League.

I've got the same issue too. Tried everything op did with the same results except I usually can't close out the game after the first crash.

Same exact issue. Error out around 30 mins in too. I've reinstalled client. Updated graphics drivers. Turned off IN-GAME OVERLAY in Nvidia settings. Uninstalled Razer Stats. Still same issue.

Based on the past experiences I ve had with this is that we can't fix it as players since it not the game that is bugging its the anti cheat and this being said it all we can do for the time being is try and play game modes that take less time this bug has been happening since last parch and I thought they fixed it this patch but it resurfaced for a lot of players. I am unsure on the cause but traditional fixes don't work and it come down to a patch or hot fix that will be needed to address and repair these problems.

Well, have you downloaded anything new recently before or after the patch? If so restore your computer to a point before any recent downloads, and start going one by one reinstalling those things. That should help you figure out what the problem is.

I am experiencing the same issue, repair tool does not work either, it always craches at 30 min mark.

Same god crap problem, the only difference is that i need to wait 2 or 3 minutes and then i can rejoin the game, but it's still a pain in the back because most of the time it crashes again and i will get a penality

I am also getting this error, it might have something to do with the PC hardware, maybe windows defender. I found that by turning windows defender completely off I can get a game where it doesn't crash but it proceeds to crash again the next game

I have the same problem. RIOT please address this, I can’t play the game. I uninstalled and reinstalled league. I updated my graphics drivers. Tried a full repair in client. Did a full virus scan that took 6 hours. Updated windows. And NONE of it has worked. HOW does something like this go unaddressed for multiple days. Not to mention that this has been happening to me for weeks now and has only seemed to have become more common after rolling out 9.2. Please fix your game. THANKS.

I got the same problem with an account at the Japanese servers. Except that it happens when the game is about to start.

I've got the same problem as well, this is so annoying lost 3 ranked games because of it now uugh [sg-shisa]
