As I was playing an urf game, my friends model just turned invisible. No idea on how it happened.

Some people aware of Yi's bugs will joke that this is an Alpha Strike bug.
Some of those are aware that Yi turning invisible as a result of Alpha Strike actually is a thing.
I don't know if your friend's Yi went invisible because of Alpha Strike in particular, but I am pretty convinced there is something in Yi's/Alpha Strike's code that turns him invisible and occasionally doesn't make him visible again.
