Client Issues regarding waiting for stats

So far I've played around 8 ranked games today, after each of them I got the error message "connection timeout". I then click ok and it takes me to the waiting for stats screen and leaves me there. I have tested it up to 30 minutes and it just sits there. After I skip it I have to log out and then log back in before i can join a new game too! I'm getting really frustrated with this. I am playing on a mac if that helps at all.
