[GAMEPLAY] Fizz ulti negated by knockup (Wukong Ulti)

What happened: Got into a teamfight with Vayne. Vayne got hit by Fizz ulti, and Wukong went in with E + Q, then followed up with R (Ulti). The knockup of the Wukong ulti made the Fizz ulti not hit/do damage to Vayne because she was airborn. Im uncertain if this is intentional or not, but it seems like a bug.

Riot won't look into this because the chance of this event happening is very small, like 1 every 1000 games.
