Herald disappears if knocked up while casting?

Idk if its a bug or not but while i was casting the rift herald item i got knocked up by a janna tornado and the herald just disappeared. Item didnt expire or anything, just poof its gone. Some info would be great o:

Working as intended. It's a Consumable channeled item. It is consumed on activation and requires the channel to take effect any hard cc will interrupt the channel
