[CRASH] League crashing regularly on Mac 10.10.2

I've been having a terrible time trying to initially connect to my games and then stay connected. There a quite a few times that I have been in the middle of my gameplay and then I disconnect, not from my internet- because my friend on the same internet with same model of computer is still connected, but from the League system overall. After these disconnects, I tend to have to force league to quit and then re-log in and connect to the game.

However, part two of the issue: is there a way for the system to understand that I'm trying to reconnect? I have been penalized in the past for "abandoning my games" and it has been even worse with connections in any of season 5. I am trying to reconnect, but it penalizes me for being AFK and abandoning the game when the network itself has booted me off!

I have Macbook Pro, OSX 10.10.2 (Yosemite). Please help!
