Champion Pathing

I've been having an issue for a while where my champion will stop pathing and stand still whenever I press enter to start typing. This is exceptionally annoying since I would like to type while walking to lane and I have to select my path over and over and has even gotten my champion killed sometimes as I have to stop to type in the middle of a lane rather than have my champion walking under tower as I type. Is this a bug or does anyone know a way to fix this.
