Comment/Suggestion : Locally stored profile
Just a comment,
As a Network Systems Engineer with some past programming experience I find the fact player data is stored in the installation folder (ie: *C:\Program Files (x86)\League of Legends*) to be incorrect; a glaring mistake/oversight in fact. With this, the lack of syncing player data online is suprising; I would have expected there would have been a higher priority on such a feature.
I have had a friend come stay with me recently, and she introduced me to League of Legends .... hooked right away. Love it, thank you. However, we constantly flip between my primary desktop and a couple of different laptops and began having some issues. It took us a bit to figure why our items sets were "disappearing" or "reverting to a previous state".... until I happened to stumble on this issue of the data being local to each installation. At least now as a bandaid fix/patch we can copy the profile back and forth between machines when we switch, but it's awkward and annoying.
So, back to the comment, I really hope to see server-side profile sync implemented in the **very **near future; and with respect to better (proper?) programming practices, see the user/player data stored in a more suitable location, such as c:\users\appdata\roaming\LeagueofLegends.
Just my 10 cents worth.
