Getting disconnected in champion select

I have tried twice now to start a rank game but each time I get disconnected in champion select.

After the banning phase, my screen freezes after the first person picks their champ. I can still chat with the other summoners but I can't see what's going on. In fact, the second time it happened, I asked them to fill me in on what is actually happening. For them, champion select was working fine. I use a mac and have the latest iOS. I have also lost about 15 league points because of it and now have to wait 20 minutes for "quitting." Look at my history, I never quit...

How do I fix this?

Restart your router and computer. I don't understand macs but thats what id try

Uninstall and reinstall. Or repair client

I have the same problem Silver IV EUW on MAC every now and then the counter locks to 0 and the champ select freezes until I get kicked for dodging, I lost a lot of LP because of this I filed a ticket to Riot and went through all their suggestions on troubleshooting. I notably changed my DNS to the one they recommend and it stopped for like a week or two but now it has started again and I'm getting really frustrated
