Deathfire Touch Ticks Override GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY

I played anivia with deathfire touch, I noticed one thing, when I used my E when enemy got hit from my ult afterwards ticks got reducted to 1 second instead of still having deathfire touch procs from E (about 2 additional seconds in that situation), it overrides other spells that give more ticks. I this really intended? I actually don't believe that it is how it supposed to. It shoudn't punish you because you used additional skill.

That's a strange interaction.

I agree, I wouldn't realise If I wouldn't watch replay. I actually think Deathfire Touch is better on Anivia because multitarget, but who knows how many damage I lost because it overrides the ticks time.

I assume you are wondering if your ult's deathfire proc should override your E's deathfire proc. If so, the answer is yes.

Is it really? And do you think that how it should be? punishing you for using skill making your other source of damage lower?

Missing out on like 30 damage will only be "punishing" in very rare cases.

Sry but you are really underestimate deathfire touch damage. With 800 ap it will lose 129 damage when getting 1 tick with ulti just after E. In the same game I made a gif, just few seconds after when gif was shot I killed Ahri because I got all 7 ticks on her with deathfire from my E. I had 447 ap and she had 107 hp. Damage cut in half because you used your skills in some order seems extremly punishing. Even If I was silly 30 damage, deathfire touch is all about that little additional damage and there are many cases when people survive just on 10hp. decreasing that damage in half because such refresh mechanic is just bad and silly in my opinion.
