Was there a behind-scenes-bug"fix"?

Two days ago I noticed that all of the start menu options (play, shop, profile, view friends profile, check ranked leagues etc.) were all taking a solid 5-6 seconds to load, which, is unusual and annoying, but not a big deal. However today, I noticed a much bigger problem. My ping went up by a fair amount (25-30) but isn't playing like it. I normally play around 50 and I'm at 75-80 now, but it feels more like 175-180. There's random bugsplats, game-breaking lag in which I'm already dead before even becoming aware flash is necessary, and missing about 2/3 of last hits; which doesn't happen in gold. -----Was something changed that wasn't released publicly? Am I the only one who noticed? Please help
