couldn't open re-open league client...

So i started a ranked game, and i was waiting to choose my champion and alt-tabbed. when i went to click on the league icon to bring back the client it wouldn't open back up.... ultimately after 5 minutes of trying to open it up through various methods i just gave up and closed the client and re-logged in. I lost the 3 LP which isn't a big deal but if i was in promos i might of been mad. Just wondering if this has happened to anybody else or know if its a bug or something on my end i might of done. P.s i closed Skype when i alt tabbed and that's it.
