It doesn't seem possible to change the current status message in the friend list anymore. Clicking on it does nothing. This has been confirmed by my friends.
Easily reproduced by trying to change your status message. This occured on EUW, I'd be surprised if it's not reproducable on other regions with the same patch, though.
Click the gear next to "Friend List". There should be a box for "Public Status" with your current status, which can be changed by clicking on it and entering a new one.
Same issue, I can change mine by double clicking just in between your user status and your message.
Same... I'm currently unable to change my user status in my friends list for some reason. Tried various things with no results - thus me posting here. (which sucks cause i wanted to post something a little funny)
click right next to the status light (green, red, etc)

GO figure the people who don't play the game our are actively apart of the community didn't know how to fix, or that they had this issue.
RITOS STAFFS pfft. I was under the assumption they made money to employ competent people.

I wish they would have told us that they changed HOW to change your status- unless I missed it in some patch notes…
Since IMO it was MUCH simpler to just click on the status to change it vs. clicking the gear next to "Friend List" and putting a public status there…why make things harder?

The change doesn't seem to stick, as it used to. If I close LoL and launch it again, the message goes right back to the previous one. Quite odd and frustrating at times!
I have the same problem, hope they fix it soon.
