[GAMEPLAY] Stealth Characters being revealed by incorrect items

I thought characters like Shaco and Khazix, with 'Stealth' are supposed to be invisible to control wards and oracles in order to make them function properly. However in my recent games with Shaco, I've been told that I can be seen while invisible despite not being near Towers to reveal me, either through control wards or Oracles Alterations. Even his Q specifically says only Towers should reveal him.
